AcidGrounds wiki

New page

The Acid Grounds have three creatures of their own, one for each kind of terrain, plus six peaceful critters. All of them use vanilla models and animations with new, acid-colored skins.

Mobs
Mob !! Health !! Attack !! Lives in !! Group
Violet Crawler || 80 || bite, 23 damage, can poison || Violet Forest || 2–3
Toxic Hatworm || 60 || bite, 14 damage || Toxic Forest, Acid Plains || 1–2
Neon Golem || 220 || crystal golem attacks, 10 damage each || Neon Fields || alone

Provoking creatures
The three mobs are peaceful at first. They wander around and leave you alone, even when you walk right past them. That changes when you dig:

* If a player breaks a block within 25 blocks of a mob, that mob turns hostile towards that one player for 60 seconds and attacks at once.
* Other players nearby stay safe. Only the player who broke the block is targeted.
* Any block counts, whether you mine rock, chop a tree or dig soil.
* A mob you attack fights back, no matter whether you were digging.
* In Creative mode the mobs do not react to broken blocks.

So before you mine glowrock, chop violet trees or quarry a neon pillar, look around: every Violet Crawler, Toxic Hatworm or Neon Golem within 25 blocks will come for you.

None of the Acid Grounds creatures appear in the Memories.

Critters
Six small animals make the region feel alive. They are always peaceful, behave like the vanilla animal they are based on and drop the same loot.

Critter !! Based on !! Health !! Lives in !! Notes
Glow Bat || Bat || 15 || all four biomes, by night (19:00–5:00) || flies in small flocks, glows green

Spawning
* Each biome has its own spawn list. The forests have a higher spawn density (0.8) than the Acid Plains and Neon Fields (0.5).
* The mob of a biome has spawn weight 30, the critters 4 to 10. So roughly two thirds of the ground spawns are mobs.
* Acid Crows and Glow Bats spawn on ground, leaves and wood, including the new Violet and Toxic trees.
* Nothing spawns on the floating islands or in the chasms.

The exact spawn tables are on each biome page.
