Activation
The extension has no startup activation. VS Code loads it the first time you run Whiteboard: New Whiteboard or open a file in one of its editors.
After installing
- Files ending in
.whiteboardopen in the board automatically. - PNG files still open in the normal VS Code image preview. To draw on one, use View: Reopen Editor With... and choose Whiteboard (edit PNG). See Files and Saving.
Workspace Trust
The extension does not declare support for untrusted workspaces in its package.json. In a workspace opened in Restricted Mode, VS Code may keep it disabled until you trust the workspace.
Uninstalling
Uninstall it in the Extensions view. Your .whiteboard files stay where they are. They are PNG images and can still be opened with any image viewer after renaming them to .png. The setting vscWhiteboard.customColors stays in your user settings until you remove it.
