UtilityConnect:Installation
Utility Connect is a plain server plugin. It contains only code, no blocks, textures or other assets.
Requirements
| Utility Connect | Hytale server |
|---|---|
| 1.0.0 | 0.7.x (>=0.7.0 <0.8.0)
|
| 0.2.0-Alpha | 0.6.8 up to 0.6.x (>=0.6.8 <0.7.0)
|
Utility Connect itself needs no other mods.
Installing
- Download the jar from CurseForge.
- Put it into the
modsfolder of your server, next to the mod that needs it (for example Better Storage). - Start the server.
When the library has started, the server log shows the line UtilityConnect 1.0.0 bereit (the log messages of the library are in German).
Matching versions
Mods that depend on Utility Connect name an exact version in their manifest. The server refuses to start such a mod when that version is missing. Better Storage 1.2.0 needs Utility Connect 1.0.0.
If a dependent mod reports that Utility Connect is missing, check that
- the Utility Connect jar is in the
modsfolder, - its version is the one the dependent mod asks for, and
- both match your Hytale server version (see the table above).
Configuration
There is nothing to configure. Utility Connect has
- no configuration file,
- no commands and no permissions,
- no blocks, items or recipes.
Everything you see in the game, such as pipes or storage blocks, comes from the mod that uses the library.
Updating and removing
- Updating: replace the jar and restart the server. Network data is stored inside the world's chunks under a fixed name, and the format has not changed since 0.2.0-Alpha. Worlds saved with 0.1.0-Alpha are corrected the first time their chunks load, as long as the dependent mod supports this (Better Storage does). See Persistence.
- Removing: only remove Utility Connect together with every mod that depends on it, otherwise those mods will not load.
