Compatibility

GregTech: New Horizons

Time Checker was made for GTNH and is built against the same Forge version (10.13.4.1614). It was designed to add no conflict risk to the pack:

  • no coremod, no ASM, no access transformers and no mixins
  • the timer is drawn and the key is read only through the regular Forge events
  • no dependencies on NEI, GregTech or any other mod
  • a normal Forge config file that pack makers can ship with their other configs

If the timer overlaps another overlay, change anchor, offsetX and offsetY. See Configuration.

Other setups

The mod has no dependencies and also runs in a plain Forge 1.7.10 instance. It only loads on Minecraft 1.7.10.

Servers

The mod is only needed on the client. You can join servers without it, and a server with the mod installed does not require it from players. On a dedicated server it does nothing.

FAQ

Is this my playtime?
In singleplayer it comes close, because the timer only counts while the world is running and not paused. On a server it is the age of the server's world, which keeps counting while you are offline. See Display.
Why is a "day" in the timer so long?
A day in the timer is 24 hours of game time, not a 20-minute Minecraft day.
The timer is slower than my real clock. Why?
It counts game ticks. When the game or the server lags and runs below 20 ticks per second, fewer ticks pass per real second.
Does /time set or sleeping change the timer?
No. Those change the time of day. The timer uses the world's total tick count, which only goes up.
Can I reset the timer?
Not with this mod. It only reads the world's tick counter and never changes it.
I opened a world I created before installing the mod. Does it start at zero?
No. The tick counter is part of every world, so the timer shows the full age of the world, including the time before you installed the mod.
The timer has disappeared.
Press F6 (or the key you assigned under Options → Controls → Time Checker). Also check that the F3 debug screen is closed and the HUD is not hidden with F1.
My color doesn't work and the text is white.
The value could not be read. Use RRGGBB or AARRGGBB, optionally with # or 0x, and nothing else on that line. The log contains a warning with the value that was rejected.
Does the mod change anything in my worlds?
No. It saves nothing in the world and only writes its own config file.
