AcidGrounds:Floating Islands

Toxic and violet islands at the edge of a region

Floating islands hang in the sky above every part of the Acid Grounds. Each island carries the plants of the biome below it and hides a core of Mithril Ore.

Where they float

• Islands are spread on a loose grid, about one every 45 blocks, over the whole region.
• The top of each island is somewhere between height 150 and 300, so neighbouring islands float at clearly different heights.
• Every island belongs to the biome directly below it. There are four kinds: Ash, Violet, Toxic and Neon.
• No creatures spawn on the islands.

Shape and sizes

Islands have an irregular, slightly domed top and a pointed underside with single stalactites hanging down. Each kind comes in four sizes with three variants each, 48 islands in total:

What an island is made of

• Top layer: Grass (Violet and Toxic islands) or Ashen Soil (Ash and Neon islands).
• Two layers below: Poisoned Dirt or Volcanic Rock.
• Body: Volcanic Rock.
• Core: Mithril Ore - Stone in the middle of the island, under the top layers. Vanilla Hytale does not generate Mithril anywhere else.
• Underside: about 8 % of the bottom blocks are glowrock, and about 12 % of the columns have something hanging below.

Hanging Lianas are 1 to 4 blocks long, roots 1 block.

The mod adds no special way to reach the islands. Build up, or use whatever means of climbing or flying you have.
