TaskDeck:Find Task

In a workspace with many sources and tasks, searching is often faster than scrolling.
Opening the search
- Click the search icon in the view title, or
- run Task Deck: Find Task… from the Command Palette.
A list titled Run Task opens. Type part of a task name to narrow it down. The filtering is done by VS Code, the same way as in other quick pick lists. The source name is shown next to each task and is searched as well. Press Enter to run the selected task.
Which tasks are listed
The list contains the same tasks as the source groups in the view:
- Hidden sources and their tasks are left out.
- Tasks hidden by a name filter of their source are left out.
- Sources that are no longer found have no tasks and add nothing.
- Tasks that still show
loading…are left out until the task list is refreshed.
The Pinned group is not searched separately. A pinned task is listed through its source, so a pinned task of a hidden source does not appear.
If no task is left, the message Task Deck: no runnable tasks found. appears.
