The Storage Assembler is the crafting bench for every part of Better Storage. It has four tiers. Higher tiers unlock bigger Storage Cells and craft faster.

Tiers II to IV cannot be crafted. You get them by upgrading.

Every tier can also craft everything of the tiers below it. The upgrade cost is the cost to reach that tier from the one before.
Upgrading
There are two ways to upgrade:
- At the placed bench with the bench's own upgrade button, like any vanilla bench. The bench changes its color to show its tier.
- In the terminal, while the Assembler sits in the Storage Core: click the arrow below it. The materials are taken from the network. See Upgrading benches.
Keeps its tier
An upgraded Assembler drops as its own item when you break it: Storage Assembler II, III or IV. Placed again, it is at that tier right away. Unlike vanilla benches, the upgrade materials are not returned. They became the higher-tier bench.
The same is true in the Storage Core: an Assembler upgraded there stays at its tier when you take it out.
