4.0.0 (2026-10-18)

  • The extension is now published as Stat Lens by MutigerAffe. The extension id is now MutigerAffe.stat-lens. A version installed under an older id is not replaced and has to be uninstalled by hand. See Updating from an earlier version.
  • New license: the extension is now proprietary. Third-party components are listed in the file THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
  • The extension is bundled into a single file. It loads faster and the package is smaller.
  • README and changelog are in English.

The ids of the command, the view and the settings did not change. They still start with projectStats.

  • Each language shows a text bar of ten blocks next to its percentage.
  • Project Age and Last Change show their source (Git commit or file timestamp) in the row itself.
  • Changing projectStats.ignoreComments or projectStats.excludeFolders starts a new scan on its own.
  • Warning icons use the warning color of the current theme.
  • An empty view shows No data for this project yet. with a Scan now link.
  • The files under Dependencies can be clicked to open them, like Largest File.
