NewRanch:Main Page
New Ranch is a farming and ranching mod for Terraria (tModLoader). Instead of another set of swords it builds out life on the farm: ore right under the grass, farm tools that double as weapons, crops that follow the seasons, livestock you keep rather than kill, and a ladder of farm-themed bosses woven into the base game's progression. What the farm produces goes back into it: the field feeds the livestock, the livestock manures the soil, the soil carries the field.

Quick start
- Find Barn Ore just under the surface and smelt Barn Bars. As soon as you own one, the Farmer can move in.
- Craft a Barn Plow, turn dirt and grass into Fallow Soil and plant Grain Seeds.
- Buy a Research Table from the Farmer and spend Field Notes in the Field Book to unlock more crops, watering and farm buildings.
- Catch a hen or a ewe with a bug net, set it down near a Feed Trough and fill the trough with Wild Grain.
- Keep an eye on the season, the temperature and your own hunger and thirst.
