New Ranch adds 15 town NPCs. Items from the mod in their shops cost Farm Marks instead of coins (see Selling). With the Census mod installed, each move-in condition is shown in plain language.

| Shepherd | 2 or more livestock within 60 tiles of a player | Farm Shears, Milk Pail, Pasture Flute, Wild Grain, Feed Trough |
| Farrier | A player has a Draft Harness | Draft Harness, Lucky Horseshoe, anvil, chain, iron; shoes your horse for 5 gold (permanent upgrade) |

| Old Farmwife | The Harvest Festival has been held once | Calendar, Farm Journal, Record Board, festival decorations; a daily "Wish List" request that pays coins and Field Notes |
| Market Buyer | Something has been sold through the Shipping Bin | No shop. Buys all eligible farm goods from your inventory at the day's rate (40–200%) |
| Weather Watcher | The world has had its first drought | Rain Barrel, Barometer, Thermometer, Umbrella; "Forecast" counts the dry days |
