The Builder's Backpack holds your building materials. Tearing down an old house or clearing a ruin gives you dozens of different blocks, and this backpack keeps all of them in one place.

Takes

  • Worked stone: bricks, stairs, roofs, half blocks, walls, pillars, beams, corners, smooth, ornate and decorative stone
  • Worked wood: planks, stairs, roofs, half blocks, walls, beams, fences and gates
  • Cloth blocks such as wool
  • Metal and glass blocks
  • Deco blocks and furniture
  • Other building blocks whose ID starts with Build

It does not take raw stone, cobble or logs. Those go into the Digger's Backpack and the Forester's Backpack. Half logs fit both the Builder's and the Forester's Backpack. The exact rules are on Item Filters.

Crafting

At the Workbench, in the Survival category:

Size Slots Materials
Small 9 4 Light Leather, 4 Plant Fiber, 2 bricks of any kind
Medium 18 6 Medium Leather, 2 Bolts of Linen, 2 Iron Ingots, 4 bricks of any kind
Big 27 8 Heavy Leather, 2 Bolts of Silk, 2 Cobalt Ingots, 8 bricks of any kind

Tips

  • Blocks you craft at a bench go into the backpack too. Craft a batch of stairs and they land in the Builder's Backpack.
  • Furniture you pick up after breaking it also goes in, which helps when you move house.
