This page lists every chat command that Block Factory adds, grouped by who can use them. Hytale's own commands (such as /op or /gamemode) are not listed.

Options are written as --name=value, flags without a value as --name. Square brackets mark optional parts. Almost all commands act on the player who types them and on that player's team, so they have to be used in the game, not on the server console. The only exception is /enemies.

Player commands

Every player can use these.

Command What it does
/team Opens the team window. With options it manages your team, see below and Teams and Raids.
/channel [--to=all|team] Without option: shows which chat channel you write in. --to=team sends your messages to your team only, --to=all back to everyone.
/recipes Opens the recipe browser. If you have lost your Field Manual, you get a new one.
/maplayers Opens the map layers window: noise, power lines, nests, ruins and Goblin Hut range. The layers are switched for the whole world, not per player.
/blueprint --export=<name> Saves the blueprint of the Goblin Planner in your hand as a file in your team's library.
/blueprint --import=<name> Loads a blueprint file into the Goblin Planner in your hand and switches it to paste mode.
/blueprint --list Lists the blueprint files of your team.
/armor [--remove] Shows the modules, energy and shield of the Modular Armor you wear. --remove takes the last module out and gives it back to you. See Weapons and Armor.

/team options

Command What it does
/team --create=<name> Founds a team (name up to 24 characters). You leave your old team.
/team --invite=<player> Invites a player to your team.
/team --accept=<team> Accepts the invitation of a team. You leave your old team.
/team --leave Leaves your team. You go back to the world team.
/team --kick=<player> Votes to kick a member. More than half of the other members must agree.
/team --rename=<name> Renames your team.
/team --color=#RRGGBB Sets the team colour (the # is optional).

Blueprint files

Blueprint names may contain letters, digits, - and _, up to 40 characters. The files are readable JSON and are stored in the world folder under blockfactory/blueprints/, one folder per team (world for the world team). Server operators can copy files between these folders to share blueprints.

Commands that need a permission

These are meant for players, but in the current version they have no default permission group, so only operators can use them out of the box. To allow them for other players, grant the permission com.mutigeraffe.blockfactory.command.<command>, for example com.mutigeraffe.blockfactory.command.tips.

Command What it does
/tips [--off|--on] Turns the tutorial tips off or back on. Without option: shows whether they are on.
/craftqueue [--cancel|--all] Lists your handcrafting queue. --cancel cancels the job added last, --all every job; the ingredients come back.
/ancient [--buy=mining] Shows your team's Ancient-Tech and the level of Ancient Mining. --buy=mining buys the next level once the Great Portal is open for your team.

Operator and test commands

These change the game state and are meant for testing. They have no permission group, so only operators (or players with the matching permission) can use them. They act on the world you are in and, where it applies, on your team.

Command What it does
/research Shows your team's research: completed researches, Gob and Gol points, highest scroll tier.
/research --complete=<number> Completes the research with this number (see Research Tree) together with everything it requires.
/research --all Completes every research.
/research --points=<amount> Adds Gob points to your team's account.
/research --reset Forgets all research and points of your team.
/enemies Shows unrest, noise, the loudest chunk, the number of destroyed nests and whether the world is peaceful. Also works on the server console.
/enemies --unrest=<0-100> Sets the unrest in percent.
/enemies --nestx=<x> --nestz=<z> [--loud] Founds a small nest at x, z. With --loud it has already heard enough noise to send an attack group.
/enemies --noisex=<x> --noisez=<z> --noise=<amount> Makes this spot loud once.
/portalstage [--stage=0-4] Sets the rebuilding of the Portal of the Ancient to a stage without materials: 0 ruin, 1 to 3 phases, 4 complete. Without option: stage 0.
/buggy Places a Steam Buggy 3 blocks in front of you.
/beltfill [--radius=<blocks>] Fills the belts around you with the item in your hand, or Coal with an empty hand. Default radius 24, at most 128.
/beltview [--interval=<1-30>] [--scale=<0.1-2>] [--height=<-0.5-1.5>] [--radius=<blocks>] Changes how items on belts are shown: ticks between position updates, item size, height above the belt, and the distance from a player within which items are shown.

Most changes made with these commands are written to the server log.
