BlockFactory:Fabricators

From MutigerAffe Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Fabricators craft items automatically. You choose a recipe once, feed the ingredients with grabbers and take the products away; the Fabricator keeps working as long as it has power. The first one, Fabricator T1, comes with the Automation research in Epoch 1.

The crafting speed applies to the recipe time: a recipe of 1 s takes 2 s in a Fabricator T1 and 0.8 s in a Fabricator T3. All Fabricators need power from a nearby power pole (see Power); with too little power they work more slowly. For module slots see Rune Modules.

Choosing a recipe

Press Use to open the Fabricator window. The left side lists every recipe this Fabricator can make as a grid, sorted into tabs by category and with a search field. Each cell shows the product and its amount; hover over a cell to see the ingredients and the time per craft, then click it to select it. The chosen recipe is highlighted in orange, and a green dot marks recipes for which your inventory holds enough for one craft. Clear removes the recipe.

  • The grid only shows recipes your team has unlocked.
  • A Fabricator only makes recipes with exactly one product and at most six item ingredients.
  • Recipes with a fluid, for example Concrete or Lubricant, only appear in a Fabricator T2 or T3.
  • Some recipes can only be made in a Fabricator, not by hand, for example Advanced Circuit or Rune Modules. Alternate recipes from Research Capsules also appear here once unlocked. See Recipes.

When you change the recipe, ingredients that fit the new recipe stay; the rest, including the ingredients of a craft in progress, comes back to you.

Ingredients and output

The right side of the window shows the current job: recipe, status, progress with the time left, and each ingredient as "have / need".

  • A Fabricator has one slot per ingredient of the recipe and one output slot. It only accepts ingredients of the chosen recipe.
  • Grabbers fill each ingredient up to twice the recipe amount, so the next batch is always ready without hoarding. Grabbers take products from the output.
  • Deliver ingredients moves the matching ingredients from your inventory into the Fabricator. Take moves the output into your inventory.
  • Crouch and press Use with a stack in your hand to put it in; crouch and press Use with an empty hand to take the output.

Fluids (T2 and T3)

The Fabricator T2 and T3 have two pipe connections, one on each side of the back row: one for the fluid ingredient, the other for the fluid product. The tanks appear when you select a fluid recipe. If the product tank is full, the Fabricator stops until a pipe carries the fluid away. See Fluids.

Copying the recipe

To set up a row of Fabricators quickly, crouch and right-click a Fabricator to copy its recipe, then crouch and left-click the others to paste it. This works with an empty hand and with most items in hand; weapons with their own right-click action cannot copy. A recipe can be pasted onto any Fabricator that can make it. The same works for Splitter settings.

Status

Status Meaning
Working crafting
Waiting for ingredients an ingredient is missing
No power no power pole with a generator nearby
Low power not enough power, working slower
Output full take the products out
Output tank full connect a pipe that takes the fluid away
