BlockFactory:Storage

From MutigerAffe Wiki

Storage in Block Factory means chests: they hold items between the steps of your factory. You start with the Wooden Chest; bigger chests and the Logistic Chests for Goblins come with research.

Chests

Chest Epoch Unlocked by Slots Recipe
Wooden Chest 0 Start 16 4 Wood
Iron Chest 1 Logistics 32 8 Iron Plate
Steel Chest 1 Steel Processing 48 8 Steel Plate

All chests are 1 × 1.

  • Press Use to open a chest. Click a stack to move it between chest and inventory, right-click to move half. Take all and Store all move everything at once.
  • Grabbers put items into any free space and take out whatever the next block accepts.
  • When you pick up a chest, its contents go into your inventory with it. Whatever does not fit drops to the ground.

A chest at the end of a line catches the overflow, so the machines in front of it keep working, and shows at a glance how much you produce.

Fluids are stored in the Storage Tank, see Fluids.

Logistic Chests

Logistic Chests connect your factory to the flying goblins of a Goblin Hut. Goblins carry items between the Logistic Chests in range of the huts of a network. All three chests have 32 slots, are unlocked by the Goblin Logistics research (Epoch 2) and are made from 1 Steel Chest + 3 Electronic Circuit.

Chest What goblins do with it
Logistic Chest (Provider) take items out of it to fill requests; goblins prefer Providers over Storage chests
Logistic Chest (Requester) bring every requested item up to a full stack
Logistic Chest (Storage) take items out of it to fill requests; hob-goblins put torn-down parts here

Requests

Press Use on a Requester to open its request window. You can search all factory items and request one, request the item in your hand, or simply put one of an item into the chest: the Requester remembers it. Goblins then keep each requested item topped up to a full stack. Strike removes a request; a struck item is not requested again just because some of it is still in the chest.

Hob-goblins building with the Goblin Planner take their materials from Provider and Storage chests. How huts, ranges and goblin flights work is explained on Goblins.

Death Chest

When you die, a Death Chest with your whole inventory appears where you fell. Anyone can empty it, and it disappears once it is empty. You cannot build or pick up a Death Chest. See Death and Respawn.
