Servers and singleplayer
Better Biomes works on dedicated servers and in singleplayer.
Existing worlds
You can add Better Biomes to an existing world. Already generated chunks stay as they are; the new biomes, caves and structures only appear in chunks generated afterwards. The same goes for changes to the settings.
Other world generation mods
- Better Biomes only adds files and does not replace any vanilla world generation files. Its caves and additions to vanilla biomes are inserted into the vanilla zones.
- Mods that replace the vanilla zone files will probably conflict with it.
- If one Better Biomes biome gets in the way, you can switch it off with
DisabledBiomes(see Configuration); the vanilla biome below then takes its place.
