Better Biomes adds its own flowers, cave plants, berry bushes, fruit and saplings. Most of them grow in the new biomes, some also in vanilla biomes.
Flowers
Better Biomes flowers drop colored petals when picked, like vanilla flowers (for example heather and lavender drop purple petals, gentian blue). Cattails drop themselves.

Berry bushes
Berry bushes grow in small groups of 3–6 bushes, ripe and ready to pick.

Fruit on trees
Fruit hangs under the leaves, ripe. Pick it and it grows back.

Other finds
- Acorns lie under the trees of the Redwood Forest and the vanilla redwood forests of Zone 3. Plant them at the Farmer's Workbench (see below).
- Coal: boulders in Zone 1 sometimes contain a few blocks of Coal Ore.
- Burnt Cactus, Burnt Palm Logs and Burnt Twigs are found in the Burning Desert. See Building Blocks.
- Pink Crystal Shards come from the pink crystals of Pink Ice.
Saplings
All saplings are crafted at the Farmer's Workbench in the Saplings category. Bench tier is the tier the workbench needs.
